It’s me, hi. It’s January and I’m writing you from Oahu, Hawaii 👙. It’s currently 73° and sunny, the water here is still warm and I’ve been lucky enough to spend more weekends than I can count paddle boarding at the beach. This morning I watched the sunrise as I sat on the couch drinking coffee and contemplated how I can have the most productive day possible showing up for myself and this corner of the internet I call mine.
I spent the last few days updating my website and editing like crazy so I can get all of my 2023 vlog footage uploaded and start fresh for the New Year. I changed up my editing style and although it’s time consuming I’ve been very proud of the finished product! Check out my latest video here.
In 2023 I rebranded my website, revamped my YouTube channel, started a podcast, and launched a newsletter! Whew!
In many ways 2023 was extremely challenging and at times felt like I was moving backwards, but in the same breath re-reading that first paragraph I feel like I’ve accomplished so much. I’ve had time to travel, something I’ve never had the opportunity or means to do. I’ve had irreplaceable time for family, friends, and relationships. I’ve taken a step back from the fast paced 9 to 5 ‘grind’ and learned to prioritize myself first. It’s not the end of the world if life doesn’t work out as planned and there’s something about the lack of stability 2023 brought me that was refreshing and exciting (after all the stress and anxiety, of course.) I’ve learned that there’s no timeline to life, after all things change FAST (here’s to winning the lotto.)
My goals for 2024 are to be more intentional with my time and to procrastinate less! More results and less excuses! As I write this the morning is already passing by so quickly and I want to get ready and finish editing another video before the day is over. I want to show up for myself fully and completely, spend less time stressing over the things I cannot control, and say NO to anything that doesn’t align with those goals.
My response to anything that happens, good or bad, is to keep making things. Keep making art. – Taylor Swift
I promise myself to keep going even if no one is watching, to be my biggest fan, and to ignore the naysayers. Thank you to everyone who has followed my journey, watched one of my videos, listened to my podcast, left a comment, or told me in person something you liked from my social media. 🩷
